The Event
Charlottesville Design Week, Virginia’s first design festival, is a yearly gathering of creatives. Through a series of talks, critiques, tours, discussions and more, the festival aims to cultivate a sense of community and elevate the public perception of design.
The Challenge
With more organizers, a lot of attention, and building momentum from the previous two years, the third annual Charlottesville Design Week needed new branding and collateral to carry it forward. It needed to remind visitors of previous years’ festivals while standing out as meaningfully better.
The Outcome
I worked with a small team of designers to produce new branding, website, event graphics, posters, t-shirt, and more. The festival enjoyed its highest attendance yet, with numbers above a thousand.
